Golf Course in Texas Hill

The Golf Club Of Texas

Known as San Antonio’s golf club, the Golf Club Of Texas is one of the most well known courses in Hill Country. It went through an impressive renovation back in 2015 and boasts immaculate courses nestled among the beautiful Hill Country scenery.

If you’re just visiting the area, you won’t need to worry about signing up because you can just book a session online without becoming a member. Although members do have some handsome perks including unlimited access to the course.

There’s plenty to fill you up after the game in the Tin Cup bar which offers reasonably priced snacks, drinks, and meals. You’ll even find an on-site events center which caters to weddings, corporate parties, and much more.

Legacy Hills Golf Club

This full 18 hole course is located in Georgetown and offers some of the most spectacular views across the rolling hills. Each hole treats you to a different view so it’s a wonderful way to combine enjoying the scenery with a bit of healthy competition.

For beginners, or more advanced players looking to brush up, there’s a 10 acre practice range. You’ll also find a beautiful club house, a driving range, a putting green, and a pro golf shop where you can get your hands on the latest equipment.

Named as one of the best new courses after its opening in the mid 90s, Legacy Hills is also one of the largest golf courses in Hill Country, with greens that cover, on average, around 8000ft².

Barton Creek Resort And Spa

With a four star hotel and plenty of luxury to keep you entertained during your stay, Barton Creek is the ideal getaway for golfers and their families.

Spread over a whopping 4000 acres, you’ll be spoiled for choice since there are four courses here. They’re perfect for more advanced players due to their challenging design but they’ll certainly give you a feeling of achievement once you complete them.

At the resort, you’ll also find eight restaurants serving everything from seafood to steak and snacks to true Texas cuisine.

And don’t forget to check out the spa after a long day of golfing where you can indulge in a workout, a spot of swimming, or simply a good ol’ fashioned pamper session.

Hill Country Golf Club

Part of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country hotel, the Hill Country Golf Club provides sports lovers with the ultimate golfing getaway.

The course itself is a 27 hole course set over 200 acres and boasts green views as far as the eye can see. What’s more, you’ll be playing on a course that once won the title of one of the Top 10 courses you can play

Book a stay at the hotel for a luxurious experience where you’ll receive a high end welcome and have the chance to dine in one of three fabulous restaurants. Of course, no posh hotel would be complete without a spa where you can relax after a day of golfing in the Texas sun.

Berry Creek Country Club

If you’re just starting out on your golfing journey then the course at Berry Creek Country Club will be right up your alley. While some parts do pose a little challenge, it’s largely beginner friendly. Plus, there’s also a golf academy where you can learn some amazing tips and tricks to up your game.

For anyone looking to combine their love of golf with a love of nature, Berry Creek is the place to be. The course is dotted with tranquil waters and sits among pretty trees and lush greenery. I’ve even heard stories of groups of deer passing by during a game!

Throughout the year, Berry Creek hosts member events which have a great degree of variety including a Daddy/Daughter dance, a St Patrick’s Day party, a Parade and Family day as well as several member outings across the calendar.

Hidden Falls Golf Club

Located in Marble Falls, Hidden Falls Golf Club offers tees for all different skill levels so, no matter whether you’re a beginner or have been playing for years, this course will provide an enjoyable challenge.

Other attractions include a driving range, a pro shop, and a putting green. Plus, once you’re done, there’s a delightful bar and restaurant serving a range of cuisine including a tasty Italian menu.

I will say that this course is not as large as some of the others in Texas Hill Country and it is slightly older which shows. However, it’s got a certain charm about it that makes it wonderful to play and is definitely one not to be missed.
